The residential properties are good here. However, it is a nearby airport, so airport noises are frustrating. Sharjah International Airport is busy, so planes are going and coming at all hours of the day. It is impossible to sleep peacefully without any noise.
The villas available here are large-sized and perfect for joint families. We recently invested in a villa here, which has attached washrooms and balconies to all the rooms. The villa also has a large backyard and garden. My extended family visits in summer vacation, so providing accommodation for them and the children become easy.
I am a student studying at the University of Sharjah, and I got an affordable one-bedroom apartment in the Al Gharayen neighbourhood. It is easy to reach the university; however, the area lacks fun and entertainment places. It has become so boring living here.
It becomes expensive to travel to prominent neighbourhoods in Sharjah from Al Gharayen. There are ample public buses along the route, but long journeys are exhaustive in the summers, especially during the morning and afternoon. The taxi becomes costly if you have to travel frequently.
