The Museum of Natural History Abu Dhabi at Saadiyat Cultural District collaborates with the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, a pioneer developer with a track record of successful leisure attractions. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, unveiled the Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum project on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. This extraordinary museum is expected to attract visitors and tourists from all age groups and from all around the world.
The stunning 35,000 square metre waterfront museum was created by Mecanoo. Architects have created a magnificent design that complements the region’s granite formations. Water and greenery are important parts of the museum’s design as they represent life in the desert.
The museum will be used for scientific research and education once it is completed. It will also serve as a large educational resource for those interested in learning more about our ever-changing planet.
