Abu Dhabi Indian School is one of the oldest educational institutions serving the Indian community in Abu Dhabi. It was established in 1971, initially operating from the Indian Social Centre. Following the growing number of students, it expanded its campus in Hadbat Al Zaafran in 1980. As a non-profit, co-educational institution, Abu Dhabi Indian School offers the CBSE curriculum from Kindergarten to Higher Secondary, delivering quality education to over 4,700 students, with around 98% from an Indian background.
Abu Dhabi Indian School supports holistic development, providing a balanced mix of academic learning and extra-curricular opportunities in sports, creative arts, and leadership. The school has multiple libraries, science and computer labs, sports fields, and dedicated art and music spaces. Recognised by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) with a ‘Good’ rating, the school has a reputation for promoting academic excellence alongside values and skills essential for modern challenges.
The main campus and its newer Al Wathba branch, established in 2014, continue to be highly regarded among Indian expatriate families in Abu Dhabi. Its central location and proximity to residential areas like Al Mushrif and Al Nahyan make it accessible to families seeking a reputable, value-based educational experience for their children.
