Applicants to the American International School (AIS) Dubai may apply for admission anytime during the academic year if seats are available. The application process begins with completing an online form on the official website.
Admission decisions are made after reviewing official transcripts and AIS entrance exam results. Candidates must also complete a formal evaluation to verify their readiness for Advanced Placement (AP) courses. AIS does not discriminate based on colour, nationality, race, ethnicity, or physical ability but focuses entirely on academic potential.
Along with the online application, applicants must submit many papers, such as academic records, grades, entrance test results, and possibly a recommendation letter. The Admissions Committee examines both social and emotional maturity, as well as student aptitude.
Entrance tests are required for all years, with written exams for KG1 through Grade 3 and e-assessments for years 4 through 12. This systematic admissions process assures appropriate placement and contributes to each student's success.
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Completed online application form
- Copy of the birth certificate
- Four passport-sized photographs
- Copies of Emirates IDs (student and parent/guardian)
- Copy of the student’s passport
- Immunisation/vaccination record
- Previous school reports (for Grade 1 and above)
- Original transfer document (if applicable)
Before enrolling, please ensure that your child fits KHDA's age placement criteria.
