Early Years

Students engage in various activities and experiences tailored to their developmental needs and interests. During the early years, the focus is on enhancing the learning environment, emphasising play and early childhood growth. Recognising the importance of extracurricular involvement, we provide ample learning opportunities that prioritise their well-being. Students follow a structured and ambitious curriculum, ensuring steady progress towards developmental goals. The early education program promotes cognitive growth, nutrition, hygiene, and children's personal, social, and emotional development.

The following subjects are introduced in Phase 1 according to their age and class.

Primary Education and Middle Phase

The middle phase of the curriculum emphasises independent and critical thinking skills, enhanced by a digital framework. Artificial intelligence is integrated into learning processes to strengthen language proficiency. Students are also offered Art and Physical Education as part of their co-curricular activities, promoting creativity and physical engagement. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is embedded across all subjects to ensure students effectively utilise technology. As they progress, students are guided to transition from the Cambridge curriculum to the national curriculum and are supported in selecting their preferred academic stream for higher education.

Higher School

The curriculum for Grades 9 to 12 at H.H. Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistan School follows Pakistan's Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) standards.

In Grades 9 and 10, students must study core subjects such as English, Urdu, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, and Islamic Studies while selecting three additional elective subjects according to their interests.

For Grades 11 and 12, students continue with four core subjects—English, Urdu, Pakistan Studies, and Islamic Studies—and choose three electives from streams like Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, General Science, Commerce, or Humanities. This allows students to tailor their education based on their career aspirations.

Additionally, the school complies with the UAE's Ministry of Education by incorporating Arabic, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, and Moral Education into the curriculum. The Secondary School Certificate (Grades 9 and 10) offers two academic streams, allowing students to pursue specialised fields in higher secondary education.

To enrol your child at H.H. Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistan School, you can get the application form either by downloading it or by collecting a copy from the school's reception. Completed forms should be submitted to hhsramps@gmail.com. Please be aware that seat availability is limited, so applying as soon as possible is advisable. The school is divided into four phases:

• Phase 1: Early Years
• Phase 2: Primary
• Phase 3: Secondary
• Phase 4: High School

Children aged four are eligible for admission into LKG (Lower Kindergarten).

All students wanting admission into any grade must take an entrance exam conducted by the school's admission committee.

The entrance exam is scheduled in advance to allow parents time to plan for their child’s participation.

The entrance exam is based on:

• Concepts relevant to the grade the student is applying for.
• Skills acquired from the previous grade level.

The exam tests basic skills from the prior grade, and students must achieve a minimum passing score of 60%.

The Section Coordinator then interviews candidates who pass the exam to ensure their knowledge aligns with the results.

Successful candidates are offered admission, along with:

• A list of required documentation for completing the admission process.
• The option to accept or decline the offer.

Qualified students can also request a seat on the school bus, subject to availability.

Parents and prospective students are provided with the following:

• An initial interview.
• A brief assessment.
• A guided tour of the school will be held during the first available appointment.

The following documents must be submitted along with the admission form:

For LKG, UKG, and Grade 1 Admission:

• A photocopy of the student's Birth Certificate.

For All Grades:

• A photocopy of the student's valid passport with a residence visa page and both sides of the valid Emirates ID.
  
  
• Photocopies of the parent(s)' valid passport, residence visa page, and both sides of the valid Emirates ID.

For Local (UAE) Transfer:

• The original School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate (TC) in English for students transferring from other UAE schools.
  
  
• Admission for students transferring from local UAE schools requires approval from the relevant education authority.
  
  Note: The study gap should be at most two (2) weeks.

For International Transfer:

• The original Transfer Certificate (TC) must be attested by the following:
  
  
  1. The Ministry of Education or relevant education authority of the student's home country.
  2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the home country.
  3. The UAE Embassy in the home country.
  4. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai.
  5. The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai.
     

Note: For students transferring from outside the UAE, the study gap should be at most one (1) month.

For Grade 11 and 12 Admission:

• Students transferring to Grade 11 from a board other than FBISE must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC), Migration Certificate, or Equivalence Certificate.
  
  
• A Marksheet of the SSC Examination is required for admission into college classes (HSSC-I and HSSC-II, Grades 11 and 12).

Academic Year 2024-25

Important Note:

• No tuition fees are charged for July and August.
