How to Apply for Jumeirah English Speaking School Arabian Ranches- Step-by-Step Process

JESS Arabian Ranches welcomes a diverse population of students and tries its best to make them contributing members of society. Before checking the admission process, please ensure that your child is eligible for the same based on the information below -

Eligibility Criteria

  • The child should be fluent in English, or one of their multilingual languages should be English. 
  • The student should not be in Year 11 or Year 13, as these are two-year exam programs.
  • Application for FS1 and Year 7 should be applied two years in advance.
  • The session starts in September and ends in July, so ensure your application gets in accordingly.
  • The child should be more than three years of age.

If you are eligible for admission, ensure the desired class is open for the year's admission, as the school has a long waiting list. Here are the key steps of the admission process for JESS Arabian Ranches, Dubai: 

  1. Parents must complete an online application form from the school’s website, which asks for many personal details. Parents who have filled out forms for classes whose admission is closed will not be contacted. 
  2. An email confirmation will be sent to the registered mail ID, from which the parents must pay a non-refundable AED 500 fee. 
  3. Payment can be made via bank transfer or cheque. You can also pay cash directly to the school’s cashier.
  4. All the applicants will be asked to come to school on a selected admission day with the following documents: 
  • Copy of the school report from the previous year (If applying for a class higher than FS1)
  • Copy of the interim/ current school report
  • Registration form 
  • Extra-curriculum form and certificates 
  • CAT 4 and Progress Test Report (If Applicable)
  1. Students who cannot reach the school on admission day can also apply for admission virtually and attend the face-to-face virtual meeting.
  2. Students applying for classes higher than Level 7 will have to finish an assessment test before the day of admission, which will be a huge part of the selection criteria. 
  3. Students applying directly to the Sixth-form years will have to give a formal interview and submit their GCSE grades. 
  4. Upon receiving a final admission letter, parents have five days to accept the spot and pay a deposit of AED 5,000.

Debentures

  • Corporate debentures are awarded to companies that have long supported the school, so the children of the organisation’s employees are prioritised on the waiting list. 
  • Personal Debentures’ money donated to improve school infrastructure is AED 20,000, payable only after the child is given a seat.

Note—If a student wants to drop out before the session begins, they can do so with just the application fee of AED 100 deducted. The entire term's fee will be deducted if the student has already studied in the school for a month. 

School Facilities

Transportation Facility at Jumeirah English Speaking School Arabian Ranches

JESS Arabain Ranches only offers bus services to secondary school students. To enrol in the service, parents must inform the school authorities at the time of admission and while accepting the school seat. The cost of bus service is AED 3,000 per month, and the parents must inform school authorities about the service’s cancellation one term in advance.

All students must reach their bus stop 5 minutes before the bus departure time. Students are also requested to board the bus only when it has stopped and use their seat belts after settling down in their seats. If any student damages the bus property, the full amount of repairs will be recovered from the child’s parents.
