Applications for admission to Oaktree Primary School are accepted at any point during the academic year, subject to spot availability in each year group.
- Complete the form for student inquiries. You can complete it online or during a walk-in visit to the school. Schedule a school tour if you want to see the campus and facilities.
- The school will contact you to arrange the following steps if a vacancy is available.
- The priority is given to siblings who attend the school.
- If a spot is closed, the school provides a waiting list. When a spot opens up, the school's administration will contact you.
Admission Process with Regulatory Requirements
Have a look at the regulatory requirements for the admission process for each stage:
Foundation Stage
The completion of the registration requirements and the school's assessment of the child's learning needs will be considered. Although children won't have their academic talents evaluated, they can meet in small groups with the school teaching team during interactive sessions to find out the following:
- The capacity to operate without parental supervision.
- Conversation ability with adults.
- Adhere to simple instructions.
- FS1 students must be toilet trained.
Key Stage 1 and 2
The age requirement outlined in the regulatory standards and the completion of the registration criteria determines admission to Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3 through 6). Placement assessments may be carried out only as a baseline to determine the necessary level of support. A meeting with a primary school team member may be scheduled if required.
For local applicants, these evaluations will take place on the school campus. Where appropriate, assessments can be scheduled online under a certified teacher's guidance for applicants outside the UAE.
Documents Required
The documents required at the time of registration are:
- A scanned copy of the student's Unified Identity Number (UID)-containing passport and residence visa.
- A Family Book copy for UAE nationals.
- A duplicate copy of the student's birth certificate, vaccination record, Emirates ID, and four current passport-sized photographs.
- The former school's student medical file includes current vaccination records.
- A recommendation letter and/or certificate from the prior school. An attendance record from the previous school for the preceding academic year. Transcripts or school reports from the preceding two academic years.
- Official Transfer Certificate from the prior school (if the student is from another Emirate, certified by the Ministry of Education or KHDA).
If the previous school was not in the United Arab Emirates, the transcript or school report from that institution should also be certified by:
- Education Ministry
- Foreign Affairs Ministry (in the nation where the student is moving)
- Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (in the nation where the student is moving)
- Consulate of the concerned nation (in Dubai)
Please be aware that transfers from schools in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, or Europe do not require attestation. The following guardian’s documents are required:
- A copy of the father's or guardian's current passport, Emirates ID, and residence visa (if applicable)
- A copy of the mother's or guardian's current passport, Emirates ID, and residence visa (if applicable)
