The Sharjah American International School (SAIS) is in Al Warqaa, Dubai. It was founded in 2005 and owned by Dr Aysha Sayyar and Dr Nawaf Fawaz. In 1997, the first branch was introduced in Sharjah. The group opened its second branch in Dubai, and afterwards, they opened one in Umm Al Quwain. However, Sais is planning to open additional branches in other emirates. The school follows the American Curriculum based on the educational standards of the United States of America.
The school provides education for students from kindergarten to high school. SAIS-D is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and AdvancED, following the American curriculum. With over 1,800 students, 143 teachers, and 30 teaching assistants, the school maintains a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:13. This lower ratio ensures that each student receives considerable individual attention.
Sais Dubai aims to empower its students to encourage individuals to be global citizens. The school's goal is to help students grow intellectually and socially. People worldwide, including teachers and students, come to Sais Dubai. The school supports various activities such as academics, sports, technology, performing arts, diverse discussions, languages, and community connections. Scholars International Academy is regarded as one of Sharjah's best educational facilities, providing a top curriculum to its students.
