Indian School Fujairah is one of the leading educational institutions in Fujairah. It was established in 1980 and provides kindergarten to Grade 12 level education. The ISF offers an Indian curriculum as per the Kerala Board of Education. Students appear for the Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination in Grade 10 and the Higher Secondary Education examination in Grade 11 and 12. The ISF is the only school in this region with a more than 95% pass rate. Graduates from the school enjoy high acceptance rates in top universities across the world.

The school follows innovative educational methods, providing a curriculum that is ‘scientific in its approach and practical in its application.’ In addition to its up-to-date curriculum, an extensive range of facilities is available to the students. Indian School operates from 7:30 am to 12 pm for kindergarten students and 7:30 am to 2:30 pm for Grade 1-12 students. New admissions at ISF begin in November, while the academic year starts in April. Presently, Indian School Fujairah comprises 1,200 students across different nationalities and a staff of 70 highly trained teachers, with English as the medium of instruction.

Evaluation from Grade 8 to Grade 10

Indian School Fujairah has set specific evaluation criteria for classes 8 to 10. The latest guidelines for the students are as follows:

  • Students intending to pursue the Science or Commerce stream in Higher Secondary School must pass an entrance test with at least 50% marks. 
  • Applicants for Grade 11 admission must be less than 18 years old by June 1st of the admission year.
  • The higher secondary course at ISF is equivalent to a pre-degree course. Thus, students failing the pre-degree course will not be admitted into higher secondary grades.
  • Provisionally selected candidates must appear in an interview before the principal and their parents/guardians.

How to Apply for Indian School Fujairah? A Step-by-Step Process

New admissions into the Indian School Fujairah are conducted annually in November via online applications. Admissions are conducted as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Private Education. Here is a step-by-step application process for applying to the ISF:

Step 1: Fill out the Student Registration Form available at the school’s official website.

Step 2: Once the application is submitted, the school will notify the parents of the availability of seats in the respective grade.

Step 3: After successfully registering, students must appear for an entrance test. The test lasts two hours for Grades 1 to 7 and three hours for Grades 8 to 12. Students are primarily evaluated in subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science.

Step 4: Once the entrance is cleared, the accepted students must submit the required documents to complete the admission process. 

Document Requirements at Indian School Fujairah

The following documents must be submitted by all students while submitting their ISF application forms:

  1. 4 copies of the student’s passport and valid UAE visa. 
  2. 5 recent 6x4 cm sized photographs of the student.
  3. Original and photocopy of the birth certificate.
  4. Photocopy of the mark sheet of the last exam attended at the previous school (Only for Grade 1 and above)
  5. Original and photocopy of the vaccination card.
  6. Original and photocopy of the student's Emirates ID.
  7. Original and photocopy of the Emirates ID of both parents.

Students applying for Grade 2 must submit their Transfer Certificate/ School Leaving Certificate as per the following guidelines:

  • Indian Students: Original transfer certificate verified by the Education Officer of the respective zone, district, or area.
  • Students transferring from ICSE or CBSE schools: The Transfer Certificate must be attested by the respective board, and the Education Officer's seal must be attested by the Indian Consulate in Dubai.
  • For students from other emirates within UAE: Original Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate from their last school. This document should also be duly attested by the Ministry of Education of the relevant emirate.
  • Students from Gulf countries other than UAE/ Oman: The Original Transfer Certificate must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dubai/Sharjah.

Fee Charges Upon Withdrawal

In case a student withdraws from the school, the fee will be charged in the following manner:

Payment Guidelines

The following fee payment guidelines are followed at Indian School Fujairah:

  • The registration fee is mandatory and non-refundable.
  • Credit and debit card payments are accepted. 
  • School fees can be paid in 10 installments, with monthly payments to be made compulsorily before the tenth of each month.
  • If the fee is not paid by the tenth of each month, the parents will be sent two reminders followed by a final reminder before the child is barred from attending classes. 
  • The student's result will be withheld if the fee is not cleared by the last working day of the academic year.
  • No documents will be issued if the student is withdrawn without notice or a complete fee settlement.
