Upper Secondary
Upper Secondary levels comprise students from 14 to 16 years of age. This level opens access to the Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), conducted every May/June. Along with the core subjects, students can also choose optional subjects at the IGCSE level. Upper Secondary students at BIPS study either a Double-Award Science or at least two single Sciences.

Post 16 Level
The Brilliant International Private School Sharjah also introduced the globally recognised AS & A level qualifications in the academic year 2022-23. The Cambridge International A level qualification is a two-year programme, while the Cambridge International AS level course is a one-year programme. Post-16 level students at BIPS enjoy small class sizes, with a personal academic advisor for each student.

The timetable for Year 12 and 13 Muslim students mandates two compulsory Islamic Education lessons. Students with Arabic passports are required to study four Arabic lessons a week as per the MoE curriculum. Students willing to continue their Arabic education will study four lessons of Arabic B.
