Brilliant International Private School Sharjah provides KG to Grade 12 classes. Different stages offer different levels of expertise and proficiency. The grading system at BIPS is divided into the following levels:

Foundation Stage

Education at the BIPS begins with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This level is based on a mix of learning and caring. Every child enjoys complete individual attention, with a focus on the following six areas: 

Cambridge Primary

Students aged 5 to 11 are enrolled in the BIPS primary grade. Students study 10 main subjects in Cambridge Primary, along with additional disciplines. Prominent subjects include:

Lower Secondary 

Students aged 11 to 14 form the lower secondary section of the Brilliant International Private School in Sharjah. This level acts as a bridge between the Cambridge Primary and the successive Upper Secondary section. The following subjects are taught at this level:

Upper Secondary

Upper Secondary levels comprise students from 14 to 16 years of age. This level opens access to the Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), conducted every May/June. Along with the core subjects, students can also choose optional subjects at the IGCSE level. Upper Secondary students at BIPS study either a Double-Award Science or at least two single Sciences.

If students opt out of continuing Arabic as a Second Language or choose only two science subjects, they can choose from the following additional subjects:

• Students can also take examinations in their home language

Post 16 Level

The Brilliant International Private School Sharjah also introduced the globally recognised AS & A level qualifications in the academic year 2022-23. The Cambridge International A level qualification is a two-year programme, while the Cambridge International AS level course is a one-year programme. Post-16 level students at BIPS enjoy small class sizes, with a personal academic advisor for each student.

The timetable for Year 12 and 13 Muslim students mandates two compulsory Islamic Education lessons. Students with Arabic passports are required to study four Arabic lessons a week as per the MoE curriculum. Students willing to continue their Arabic education will study four lessons of Arabic B. 

MoE Subjects

In addition to the British curriculum, the BIPS also follows the UAE Government Curriculum for MoE subjects. The curriculum helps instil a deep understanding of the UAE heritage and culture. The available subjects include:

The academic year at BIPS Sharjah begins in September. The admission process starts in January itself. The school accepts online admissions. Here is the step-by-step process:

Step 1: Fill out the online admission form by visiting the school's official website.

Step 2: Appear for the interview and entrance/assessment round.

Step 3: If the child clears the interview and entrance/assessment rounds, the school will send an official e-mail.

Step 4: Provide the required documents mentioned in the e-mail. 

Step 5: Pay the first instalment of the fees along with PDC for other terms.

Step 6: The student will be enrolled in the appropriate level. 

Admission Guidelines

The Brilliant International Private School in Sharjah admits new applicants according to the SPEA age enrollment guidelines. A student is placed in the appropriate grade based on the interview/assessment round. It must also be noted that each level, i.e., the EYFS, Year 1-2, Year 3-10, and Year 11-13, follows different judgement criteria.

The age criteria for acceptance in each grade as per MoE are as follows:

Students clearing the interview and entrance/assessment round are required to submit the following documents:

1. 6 latest coloured passport-sized photographs.
2. Copy of student’s passport with valid residence visa.
3. Copy of the family book (only for UAE nationals).
4. Original Emirates ID along with a copy.
5. Copy of birth certificate.
6. A copy of the previous school's vaccination card and medical file is needed.
7. A copy of the father’s passport with a valid residence visa and a copy of the Emirates ID are required.
8. An original continuous studying letter from the previous school is required.
9. The last grade’s original pass certificates (KG onwards) are required.
10. Original transfer certificate.
11. Endorsement of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UAE embassy of the issuing countries for students transferring from other countries.

Below are the approved and discounted tuition fees of the BIPS for the academic year 2024-25. It must be noted that the fee structure provided below does not include the CAIE fee or other exams such as the  CAT4, PTS, TALA, MUBAKKIR, etc.

Payment Procedure  

Here are the key points to remember while paying the fees at the BIPS:

• A non-refundable registration fee of AED 500 is charged, along with 3 PD cheques.
• The above-mentioned PD cheques are to be submitted on the following dates: August 5th, December 5th, and March 5th.
• The registration fee is adjusted from the first term’s tuition fee.
• The tuition fee for each year is to be paid in three instalments: Term 1, Term 2 and Term 3.
• A late fee payment and bounced cheque will attract an additional AED 100 charge.
• A discount of 5% is available on tuition fees for siblings.
• A discount of 5% is available on tuition fees for a single payment.

The Brilliant International Private School Sharjah outsources transportation services to a company. The service offers connectivity to locations like Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. While the school bears complete responsibility for the service, it issues strict guidelines for students to maintain as rigorous a discipline as in the classroom.

The transport fee at BIPS is as follows:

BIPS Sharjah offers a variety of sports facilities. The school has an outdoor play area, with separate areas for boys and girls. It is fenced and has seating for spectators. The primary play area is also fully covered to diffuse the impact of the heat.

The school also provides multipurpose halls that house numerous indoor sports facilities. These include table tennis, basketball, fussball, badminton, snooker, and more.  Students are provided with professional coaches for training in fine motor skills and martial arts.

Additionally, a swimming pool with different depth levels is provided to cater to children of all ages. Girls and boys have separate changing rooms. The swimming pool can only be accessed under the supervision of swimming coaches and lifeguards.
