EAS follows a grading system aligned with the American curriculum, where grades are assigned as follows:

EAS follows an American curriculum accredited by Cognia (AdvancED) and approved by the UAE Ministry of Education. The curriculum is designed to meet the Common Core State Standards for a balanced education.

Kindergarten:

The Emirates American School kindergarten program focuses on helping children develop essential skills. It provides hands-on learning experiences that encourage emotional, academic, and physical growth. The aim is to build a love for learning and help children develop coordination, self-confidence, and an understanding of the UAE’s culture.

Elementary School (Grades 1-5)

The elementary grades focus on building a strong foundation in basic subjects. Students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems, and develop essential literacy and numeracy skills. The curriculum is designed to help students grow academically and socially.

Middle School (Grades 6-8)

Middle school prepares students for high school by introducing more advanced subjects and teaching them to think independently. Students take on more challenging concepts while developing important social and emotional skills.

High School (Grades 9-12):

The high school offers two tracks:

• The General Track includes a wide range of elective subjects
• The Advanced Track provides Advanced Placement (AP) courses

Here are the steps you need to follow to get your child into Emirates American School:

• Complete the online inquiry form on the school's website, providing essential details about your child. 
• Prepare and submit documents associated with the admission.
• The admissions team will review the submitted documents to ensure they meet the school's criteria.
• Schedule and attend an entrance exam and interview to assess the child's suitability for the desired grade level.
• Upon successful assessment, pay the non-refundable registration fee of 500 AED to secure admission. 
• Pay the term fees to enrol your child for the upcoming academic year.
• Your child will begin classes at the start of the academic year, which runs from September to June. 

Required Documents

• A copy of the child's birth certificate.
• Transfer certificate from the previous school.
• Attested report cards for the last two academic years.
• Good conduct certificate from the previous school.
• Six recent passport-sized photographs with a white background.

Emirates American School provides school transportation through Bright Bus Transport (BBT). BBT ensures safety by offering buses with GPS tracking, cameras, and trained drivers. The service covers areas like Sharjah and Madam. Students are expected to follow the rules for safety and good behaviour on the bus.
