Scholars International Academy has a tight Cambridge Curriculum. 

Pre-Primary (KG 1 And KG 2)

Pre-primary in SIA is called Foundation Stages 1 and 2. 

The foundation stages aim to focus on character building, confidence and self-assurance of your child. The course teaches them to be independent thinkers fostering positive relationships. The child is put through environments which teach them how to build relationships at school and home. 

The subjects in focus are Personal, Emotional and Social Development, Physical Development and Communication and Language. Other focus areas are literacy, mathematics, hands-on art and design and understanding one's surroundings. 

Primary School (Grades 1 – 4)

The UK curriculum for primary school includes Literacy, Science, and Mathematics. These subjects aim to develop basic arithmetic skills, reading, writing,g and language cognitive skills, and scientific temper with a basic understanding of the physical and social environment.

Scholars International Academy works on their student's social and personal communication skills. The school caters to the curiosity and the ability to sponge knowledge of each individual through an engaging syllabus. 

Middle School (Grades 6 – 8)

The middle school enhances the knowledge base created at the primary level. The middle school is between Grades 6 to Grade 8. 

Year 5 and Year 6

Subjects in Year 5 and Year 6 are:- 

  • English, Mathematics, and Science based on Cambridge Primary Curriculum
  • Humanities, French, Performing arts, Art and Design, and Physical Education based on the UK curriculum.

Year 7, Year 8, and Year 9 

  • English, Mathematics, and Science according to the Cambridge Secondary Curriculum
  • Humanities, French, Global Perspectives, Art and Design, Physical education and Performing Arts according to the UK National Curriculum. 
  • Arabic, Islamiyat, and Ishtimayat prescribed by the Ministry of Education of UAE

Senior School (Grades 10 – 13).

The senior school under Scholars International Academy covers Years 10 to Year 13. Years 11 and 10 follow the IGCSE (Cambridge International Examination courses) and A-Level Curriculum for Years 12 and 13. 

10 to 11

  • Mandatory Subjects: English, Science and Mathematics 
  • Optional Subjects: Business Studies, French, Geography, ICT, History, Art and Physical Education
  • Core PE for everyone 
  • Arabic, Islamiyat and Ishtimayat as prescribed by the Ministry of Education of UAE

12 to 13

  • Edexcel subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, and Psychology.

How to Apply for Scholars International Academy? - Step-by-Step Process

If you are interested in Scholars International Academy, you need to follow the given steps to get admitted into the school:

Booking A School Tour

The first and most important step is to tour the school. You can book a tour at Scholars International Academy during open mornings. You can register for a session with the Principal and sessions with the Phase Head Leaders of the school. After the tour, you can book an assessment with the Admissions Manager.  

Applying Online

If you like the school after the tour, you can submit an online application, and the admissions team will contact you within 24-48 hours to assess the applicant. 

Assessment

After submitting your application, the admissions team will contact you for student assessment. Parents are supposed to pay a fee of AED 200 in cash. The Assessment stage is vital for all students seeking admission to Scholars International Academy.

The school will contact you within 24 hours. If your ward has received a green flag, you must fulfil all registration formalities and submit documents for review. The students seeking admission in Year 10 to Year 13 will be required to sit for an interview with the Principal and Head of Secondary Education to discuss electives.

Registration

Parents must submit many documents and photos and pay the admission fee in cash (non-refundable). The list of documents to be submitted is as follows. 

  • 6 passport-size photographs
  • 2 valid passport copies with your ward’s valid visa endorsement
  • Emirates ID (Original and two copies)
  • 2 birth certificate copies in Arabic or English
  • 1 Vaccination Card copy
  • If your child is transferring from a school in Sharjah, you need to submit an original ministry-attested transfer certificate from the old school. 
  • If your child is transferring from a school in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, you must include the original ministry-attested TC from the precursor school and a KHDA equivalence certification. 

If your child is transferring from abroad, you must submit additional documents. 

  • Latest report card
  • The original TC mentions that the student is promoted to the next grade. 

The documents mentioned above for international students should be attested by the Ministry of Education, Ministery of Foreign Affairs, UAE Consulate of the origin country.

  • Fees can only be paid by cash, cheque, Debit, or Credit card. The cheque should be made to Scholars Intl Academy PVT School. 
  • The resources fees include the cost of textbooks, notebooks, assignments and worksheets, stationery and art supplies, online resources, and production costs for plays, including costumes, field trip transportation and class photos. 
  • The school offers a 10% discount for the second child and a 15% discount for the third child.
