Wesgreen International School (WGS) is a reputed educational institution in the UAE and was founded in the year 1991. It is situated in the Al Muweilah Commercial District in Sharjah and is one of the schools functioning under the GEMS Group. The school offers a British curriculum from FS (Foundation Stage 1) to Year 13 and adheres to global standards. 

It has four campuses with students from more than 62 nationalities and staff representing 32+ countries. The three sections are the Primary School, girls’ secondary, and boys’ secondary. The CIS (Council of International Schools) has offered accreditation to the institution in the UAE and it also works closely with the community of parents to ensure high-quality teaching and learning at all times. How to Apply for Wesgreen International School-Step-by-Step Process

Applying to the Wesgreen International School is a simple process. Here are the key steps to be followed: 

  • Parents should apply online and book the entrance examination for their children. 
  • Upon submission, they will get a call from the office of the registrar to fix an assessment date. 
  • Thereafter, FS1 and FS2 applicants will be assessed by teaching staff based on how ready they are for attending school. 
  • Years 2-6 require applicants to clear WGP English entrance examinations. 
  • Years 7-10 require applicants to clear the WGP entrance examination in both Mathematics and English Language. 
  • Year 1 and Year 2 applicants only require a single assessment. 
  • The results of assessments are communicated within 24 hours to parents. 
  • For admissions in Years 11, 12, and 13, students are required to furnish copies of their recent Cambridge results. 
  • Upon registration, the seat reservation fees have to be deposited within 48 hours of getting the assessment results. 
  • There are several documents required at the time of registration. These include two passport-sized photographs, copies of the passport (with valid visa), and the birth certificate of the child and his/her father and mother’s passports with valid visas. A copy of the family book Khulasa is required for UAE nationals while everyone has to submit Emirates IDs. 
  • Some other documents include a continuation certificate from the earlier school, a good conduct certificate, an original attested report of the last examination, an original attested transfer certificate, and the transfer certificate and a final report with attestation by the UAE Embassy and Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 
  • A fee of AED500 (non-refundable) is also payable for admission. 
  • Students have to prove their proficiency in the English language as per their grade level.
